Activate a Closed Message
The Closed Message is a variant of the Message Text feature; a pre-recorded message that is played at specific times or in specific situations.
A Closed Message is an announcement that is only played outside working hours. This way, you can still handle these calls perfectly.
How a Closed Message Works
As mentioned, a Closed Message is a pre-recorded message that is played when a caller calls outside working hours.
In the message, you mention who the caller has reached, that your organization is currently closed, when your organization will be available, and other ways the caller can still reach you.
One of the options for this is using a Digital Voicemail. This allows callers to leave a message. You will receive this recording via email and can respond to it later at a convenient time.
A Closed Message is often used in combination with an Opening Hours schedule, a Holiday Calendar, and a Digital Voicemail.
Activate Your Closed Message
As a CallFactory customer, you can easily activate your Closed Message via our online My CallFactory dashboard or with the CallFactory app for iOS and Android.
Go to the Number Settings page and scroll down to the Closed Message option. You can enable or disable this feature with the on/off switch.
One of our experts will contact you to discuss the times when the message should be activated and to agree on the message text itself. If you already have a recorded message, you can upload it during activation.
Activate Closed Messages in My CallFactory
Directly below the Closed Message, you will find the Opening Hours feature.
You do not need to click “save”; your changes are saved immediately.
